Dekkly FAQ

Rare Finds, Hunts and card analysis

How Dekkly discovers promising listings, verifies exact card printings, monitors collector Hunts, and turns active marketplace evidence into clearer buying signals.

What is Dekkly?

Dekkly is an automated trading-card treasure hunter. It scans current eBay inventory, identifies exact card printings, surfaces promising Rare Finds, and lets collectors create Hunts for the opportunities they want to hear about.

How do Rare Finds work?

Dekkly scans marketplace inventory and checks candidates against the Dekkly Deal Dictionary. A listing must contain enough evidence to identify a specific printing before it can appear as a verified Rare Find; AI provides a final review but does not replace catalog evidence.

How do Hunts work?

A Hunt describes the card, set, price, score, grade, or other criteria you want. Dekkly checks each refreshed Rare Finds set against all active Hunts and emails matching collectors. It does not run a separate eBay search for every user.

What does “Is It Worth It?” do?

It researches a specific listing, identifies the closest defensible card and condition, compares available market evidence, and returns a directional estimate with an explicit confidence level and risks to verify.

How does Dekkly compare active listings?

Dekkly groups close comparables, includes reported shipping, and highlights cards that appear stronger than nearby active listings. Exact-printing identity and grade matter more than loose title similarity.

Are these sold prices?

No. Dekkly compares current active listings, not completed sales. It is built for deal discovery and marketplace browsing, not formal appraisal.

How does Dekkly identify rare cards?

Rare Finds are cross-checked against catalog and source data. A listing needs enough identity in its title—usually card name, printed number, set or variant, and grade when applicable—before it is treated as a specific printing.

Which Pokémon rarities can appear in Rare Finds?

The rail favors higher-signal tiers such as Secret Rare, Hyper Rare, Illustration Rare, Special Illustration Rare, Shiny, Radiant, Ultra Rare, ACE SPEC, and graded chase cards. Ordinary low-signal Rare and Rare Holo cards are filtered out.

How are graded cards compared?

A graded card must match the same card identity, grading company, and grade to enter the same comparable group. PSA 10 cards are compared against PSA 10 cards when that title data is available.

Does shipping count?

Yes. Reported shipping is added to the item price before comparisons are calculated, because delivered price is what collectors actually pay.

Why are auctions not given deal ratings?

A current bid is not a final purchase price. Auctions therefore appear as Auction Watch listings instead of exceptional or great deals.

What does low confidence mean?

The title supplied fewer reliable identity signals or the comparable sample was too small for a strong rating.
